Pakistan PTA Blocks TICE News | What Triggered the Ban Explained
In yet another attempt to muzzle free speech and silence critical journalism, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ordered the blocking of TICE News in Pakistan. The decision comes after the country’s authorities accused TICE of publishing “anti-state” content that, in their words, undermines national security and spreads “false narratives.”
The blocking order was issued under Rule 5(7)(ii) of the Removal and Blocking of Unlawful Online Content Rules, 2021, read with Section 37(1) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016. According to the PTA’s communication, TICE failed to “remedy contraventions” identified in an earlier notice dated August 11, 2025, leading to the website being geofenced across Pakistan.
Why Pakistan Blocked TICE News
TICE News is India’s premier Startup, Business and Economy platform, but unlike most mainstream business outlets, TICE also publishes deeply researched, authored analyses on geopolitics, security, politics and global affairs. This unique editorial blend has positioned TICE as a platform that not only tracks India’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem but also contextualizes it within broader geopolitical realities.
It is precisely this geopolitical reporting that appears to have rattled Pakistan’s establishment. TICE’s investigations under its TICE Plus and Politeco segments have repeatedly exposed the Pakistani military-intelligence nexus, state-sponsored terrorism, and Islamabad’s duplicity in global diplomacy.

Reacting to the ban, Manoj Singh, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of TICE News, said:
“Pakistan’s decision to block TICE News only proves the power of truthful journalism. We are a platform that celebrates India’s startup spirit, business growth, and entrepreneurial success. At the same time, we publish hard-hitting analyses that expose terror networks and state complicity wherever it exists. If that makes Pakistan uncomfortable, it is not our problem — it is theirs. You can block a website, but you cannot block the truth.”
India’s Startups, Business, and Press Freedom
For TICE, this blocking is not just an attack on press freedom — it also reflects Pakistan’s growing insecurity in the global information ecosystem. While TICE is fundamentally a platform that amplifies India’s startups, entrepreneurs, and innovation stories, its credibility in publishing well-researched geopolitical narratives has clearly unsettled Pakistan.
In India, where press freedom is safeguarded within democratic norms, TICE continues to operate without fear, empowering entrepreneurs with insights while simultaneously holding power structures accountable through investigative journalism.
Censorship as Validation
By blocking TICE News, the Pakistani establishment has inadvertently validated the impact of its reporting. For readers across India and the world, this censorship highlights the uncomfortable truths that Pakistan seeks to suppress: the terror links, the role of its deep state, and its failed strategies against India.
At TICE, we view this not as a setback but as a badge of honor — proof that fearless journalism can shake even the most entrenched power structures.
Despite the ban in Pakistan, TICE News remains accessible worldwide and will continue to bring its readers uncompromising reporting, whether on startups and the economy, or on global geopolitics and security.
