The 'Women For Startups' Conclave cum Workshop

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

‘Women For Startups’, Conclave cum Workshop is being organized in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pampore district in May 19 & 20th under the G20 Summit. The Workshop is being organized by J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute in collaboration with Startup India.

‘Women for Startups’ is a two-day workshop for women entrepreneurs in the Union Territory. Mr Prashant Goyal, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department of Jammu & Kashmir will be the Chief Guest at the event.

The workshop has been designed to provide an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to come together and exchange knowledge, build capacity, receive mentorship and develop their pitching skills.

The Workshop will be held at JKEDI, Sempora, Pampore, J&K.

The Entrepreneurs and aspiring startups can participate and learn the art of entering in the market, develop their capacities and know the benefits of startups. Besides they will learn the skills of pitching their ideas before the investors. 

The program is a part of the ongoing efforts of the Institute to create mass awareness among the educated youth of UT. The theme of the program revolved around women entrepreneurs and their contribution to the overall startup ecosystem of Jammu and Kashmir.

Nurturing the Entrepreneurial Spirit

The 'Women For Startups' initiative recognizes that the impact of the conclave cum workshop extends beyond the event itself. It aims to create a lasting impact by providing ongoing support and resources to women entrepreneurs. This includes mentorship programs, access to funding opportunities, and continued learning through webinars, online courses, and knowledge-sharing platforms.

"With the number of women entrepreneurs in India and J&K increasing, it is of key importance to launch programs focusing specifically on women entrepreneurs to ensure that curated support is provided to women aspiring to become entrepreneurs as well as to existing women entrepreneurs to grow their ventures.

With this objective we have launched the Women for Startups: Startup India Workshops for Women Entrepreneurs. The two-day workshop will include focused sessions on capacity building, experience sharing, pitching along with an overview of the startup ecosystem at the UT and national level inviting experts from across the startup ecosystem,"  J&K EDI Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat told TICE News.
