Startup Mahakumbh 2025 Press Conference Sets the Stage

In a high-profile press conference held ahead of Startup Mahakumbh 2025, key officials from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), members of the organizing committee, and senior leaders from Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Limited (ECGC) shared exclusive updates on the much-anticipated startup extravaganza.

With an expansive area of 56,000 sq. meters, Startup Mahakumbh 2025 is poised to be the world’s largest startup event, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs under one roof.

  • Startup Maharathi Challenge: A major attraction this year, the event will feature the Startup Maharathi Challenge, which offers a massive grant of INR 50 crore to innovative startups, further strengthening India's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

"This is the second edition of Startup Mahakumbh, and we have taken into account the feedback received from last year’s event. Government E-Marketplace to offer end-to-end support to Startups

GeM to Offer Free Support for Startups Adding to the significance of the event, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) announced its dedicated efforts to support startups. "GeM will be present at Hall No. 5 during Startup Mahakumbh, where we will provide free assistance to startups, from registration on GeM to mentoring sessions. We have also organized five buyer-specific sessions focused on helping startups navigate opportunities within their respective domains," said Ajit B. Chavan, Additional CEO, GeM, in an exclusive interaction with TICE.
