The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) held a review meeting with Startup India’s Corporate MoU Partners to assess the progress of ongoing collaborations. The session, chaired by DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Bhatia, brought together leading corporates and global organisations working under the Corporate Startup MoU framework.
Focus on On-Ground Collaboration
During the meeting, officials reviewed the real-world engagement that has taken shape between corporates and startups in recent months. Participants highlighted that the MoU framework is increasingly translating into practical, outcome-driven initiatives through:
Pilot projects deployed within corporate environments
Co-development of new solutions and technologies
Targeted investments in high-potential startups
Mentorship and domain-specific guidance
Improved market access through corporate networks and supply chains
These efforts, collectively, are helping strengthen the startup ecosystem’s competitiveness and readiness for scale.
Scaling Up Successful Partnership Models
The discussion also emphasised the need to deepen engagement and build on the partnership models that have already shown strong results. Corporates and government representatives noted that scaling up proven initiatives will be crucial as India continues to accelerate its innovation landscape.
Commitment to Strengthening Collaboration
Participants reiterated their commitment to enhancing the corporate–startup partnership model under Startup India. With increased collaboration, both sides aim to unlock stronger innovation outcomes—startups gain access to markets, mentorship, and enterprise-grade opportunities, while corporates benefit from emerging technologies and agile innovation.
