As the curtains fell on TiEcon Delhi 2025, the energy inside the halls was electric — a blend of inspiration, innovation, and inclusion. Over two days, the country’s largest deeptech summit brought together more than 2,000 delegates — founders, investors, policymakers, and corporate leaders — united by one vision: to accelerate India’s deeptech revolution.

But it was the second day that truly became the soul of the summit. Centerstage was taken by Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament, Government of India, whose stirring address called for greater participation of women in the nation’s AI journey. Her words resonated across the hall as she reminded the audience that “India today is powered by two AIs — Artificial Intelligence and the Aspirational Indian.”

“When the two meet, they accelerate progress,” she said. “As we enter the decade of deeptech, women must be at the forefront. If we leave out half of our population, we are not building artificial intelligence, we are risking artificial ignorance.”

Her remarks came during the launch of CXXO’s ‘Wired for Impact: Women in AI’ Report by Kalaari Capital, a first-of-its-kind study recognizing women leaders shaping India’s AI landscape.

The Rise of Women in AI

The report revealed that women currently make up one in five professionals in India’s tech workforce — a figure expected to grow nearly fourfold by 2027. By then, more than 3.3 lakh women are projected to hold AI-related roles. Notably, AI and machine learning have emerged as the most preferred career paths for women in tech, with 41% choosing it — even higher than men at 37%.

These numbers, though statistical, symbolize something deeper: a quiet but powerful shift in India’s innovation narrative. As Ms. Swaraj highlighted, under the Digital India vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, technology has become a tool of empowerment, creating equitable opportunities for talent across gender lines.

“I applaud CXXO and Kalaari Capital for investing in women who are shaping ethical and inclusive AI,” she said. “And I appreciate TiE Delhi-NCR for being a matchmaker between ambition and opportunity.”

Deeptech, Diversity, and the Future of Innovation

Echoing the same sentiment, Vani Kola, Managing Director, Kalaari Capital, spoke of the critical need for diversity in innovation. “When the systems we build learn and reason from a narrow or biased worldview, they risk encoding those same limitations into the intelligence that shapes our future,” she said. “If India is to build better and more trustworthy AI for the world, diversity must be treated as a mission-critical KPI.”

For Kola, innovation isn’t just about invention — it’s about inclusivity, empathy, and perspective. And TiEcon Delhi 2025 became a mirror to that belief.

Capital, Collaboration, and the Deeptech Pulse

The day began with ‘Capital Sunrise’, an exclusive investor breakfast that brought together top venture funds — from IvyCap Ventures, IAN Group, BEENEXT, Blume Ventures, Avaana Capital, ICICI Venture, and She Capital — giving early-stage founders a rare opportunity to pitch, connect, and collaborate.

Later, the Power Panel “Patient Capital, Bold Bets: The Future of Deeptech Investing” featured thought leaders Anjali Bansal, Vishesh Rajaram, Vibhore Sharma, and Chinmaya Saxena, who dissected India’s evolving deeptech funding ecosystem. Discussions through the day spanned critical themes — from semiconductor innovation and manufacturing 4.0 to AI workforce readiness and policy frameworks for an AI-driven economy.

“TiEcon Delhi 2025 truly reflected the dynamic pulse of innovation in India,” said Geetika Dayal, Director General, TiE Delhi-NCR. “This year’s focus on AI and its transformative impact resonated deeply across industries — from space and defence to healthcare and mobility. It was inspiring to see women in tech taking center stage, showcasing leadership, creativity, and resilience.”

Recognizing Financial Leadership in a Digital India

Another highlight of the day was the Emerging Finance Leader Awards 2025, presented by TiE Delhi-NCR and Binary Semantics, celebrating finance professionals redefining excellence within India’s startup ecosystem.

Among the honorees were:

  • Praveen Boda, CFO, MyGate (Vivish Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) — Most Capital Efficient Performance

Ideas, Inspiration, and India’s AI Future

The event’s closing sessions were a reflection of the thought leadership that defined the summit.
“The Reality of Moonshot Ideas” saw Vani Kola in conversation with Anna Roy, exploring the courage to build transformative technologies.
In “Building India’s First AI-Native Auto Joint”, Vikram Chopra (CarDekho) and Pragya Misra (OpenAI) discussed AI’s transformative role in mobility.

The day concluded with ‘CXXO Women Disruptors 2025’ led by Swati Bhargava, Co-Founder, CashKaro, followed by ‘Banking on AI’ featuring Paroma Chatterjee, CEO, Revolut India, underscoring how financial innovation is being rewritten by technology.

A Deeptech Movement in Motion

As TiEcon Delhi 2025 drew to a close, it wasn’t just another conference ending — it was a movement reaffirmed. A movement of founders building for the future, of investors betting on bold ideas, and of women leading the charge into India’s AI-powered decade.

“This year, we witnessed collaboration at a scale that truly reflects India’s innovation potential,” said Geetika Dayal. “TiE Delhi-NCR continues to play a pivotal role in connecting ambition with access, creating a powerful ecosystem where ideas don’t just emerge — they evolve.”
