India’s AI Startup Dream Finds a Champion in AIC-BIMTECH at Google’s AI Day for Startups

Delhi recently witnessed an exciting convergence of cutting-edge technology and startup ambition as Google for Startups, in collaboration with IIT Delhi’s I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), hosted the much-anticipated Google AI Day for Startups. But what truly stood out was the powerful presence of Atal Incubation Centre – BIMTECH (AIC-BIMTECH), a name that continues to make waves in India’s startup ecosystem, especially in the fast-evolving AI domain.

This wasn't just another conference. It was a gathering of India’s brightest minds—entrepreneurs, technologists, ecosystem enablers—all united by one shared vision: making India a global hub for ethical, scalable, and contextual AI innovations.

And right in the thick of it was Surya Kant, CEO of AIC-BIMTECH, who brought energy, insight, and a clear-eyed perspective to the event’s headline panel discussion, “AI’s Next Wave: Agents, Multimodal, Monetization.”

“AI is evolving beyond automation — it's now about creating intelligent systems that can think, act, and even collaborate,” said Kant.
“For Indian startups, the opportunity lies in building contextual, scalable, and ethical AI solutions.”

His words weren’t just vision statements—they echoed the real work AIC-BIMTECH is doing on the ground.

A Platform for Real-World AI Builders

Google AI Day this year wasn’t just about keynote speeches. The hands-on event provided deep dives into Generative AI, covering everything from AI agents and multimodal applications to monetization models and product-market fit strategies.

And that’s where the AIC-BIMTECH delegation shined. Their approach to incubation—focused on relevance, real-world applications, and business sustainability—aligned perfectly with the event’s theme of turning experimental AI into scalable ventures.

Among the stars of the day was Keshav Jha, founder of BhartAI and Academiq.io, both incubated at AIC-BIMTECH and now part of the Google for Startups program. Sharing his on-ground experience, he reflected:

“This event transcended the typical conference experience. From technical sessions on Vertex AI and Gemini APIs to high-impact networking, it was a full-spectrum AI immersion. And hearing our mentor and CEO, Surya Kant, outline a strategic vision for India’s AI future was deeply inspiring.”

From Ideas to Impact: ₹2 Crore+ and Counting

While others talk about enabling startups, AIC-BIMTECH is quietly making it happen. Under MeitY’s SAMRIDH scheme, the incubator has facilitated over ₹2 crore in funding for five AI-led startups — CreditSiddhi, Cunomial, Origin Connect, Transport Simple, and Vacus.

Each of these ventures is a unique story of using artificial intelligence not as a buzzword, but as a core engine of innovation—from transforming logistics and finance to streamlining SaaS operations.

This funding is not just capital. It's validation of a vision that blends government schemes, industry mentorship, and market insight to fuel the next generation of AI builders.

AI for Bharat: Driving Towards Viksit Bharat

The spirit of “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) echoed in every initiative AIC-BIMTECH brought to the Google AI Day. Their participation wasn’t just about networking; it was a reaffirmation of their mission to build an inclusive, equitable startup ecosystem—one that uplifts ideas from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and takes them to global markets.

In a statement after the event, AIC-BIMTECH said:

“We are proud to be part of a platform that aligns with our mission of building a robust, inclusive startup ecosystem in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat.”

The incubator also expressed heartfelt gratitude to IHFC and Google for Startups for organizing an event that championed collaboration, learning, and forward-thinking dialogue.

India’s AI moment is here—and it's not happening in isolation. It’s being built one conversation, one collaboration, and one committed ecosystem at a time. Platforms like AIC-BIMTECH aren’t just witnesses to this transformation—they’re catalysts.

As the country continues its quest to emerge as a global leader in AI innovation, it is initiatives like these—grounded in impact, vision, and mentorship—that will write the next big chapter in India's startup story.
