When Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ambitious CM Yuva Yojana, it was seen as a bold attempt to transform the state’s youth from job seekers into job creators. Over time, this initiative has steadily grown into a powerful platform, nurturing entrepreneurship, connecting students with opportunities, and building bridges between industry and academia. Now, the program is set to take a much larger stage — the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, which will be held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, from September 25 to 29.
This year, CM Yuva Yojana will not just participate but emerge as one of the biggest highlights of the five-day mega event. The spotlight will be firmly on startups, innovation, and youth-led business models.
The Big Showcase for Youth and Startups
On September 27, a landmark MoU signing ceremony will bring together CM Yuva Yojana and 27 leading educational institutions from across Uttar Pradesh. The agreement is designed to directly link universities and colleges with the program, offering students — especially final-year students and alumni — opportunities to work on innovative projects, franchise models, and technology-driven business ventures.
Adding to the excitement, 150 dedicated stalls will be set up in Hall No. 18A, showcasing new business ideas and models across diverse industries. The exhibition is expected to be buzzing with students, youth fellows, educators, and industry professionals — a melting pot of ideas, opportunities, and collaborations.
Sarveshwar Shukla, Nodal Officer of CM Yuva Yojana and Joint Commissioner of Industries, highlighted the larger vision behind this push. “The main objective of this MoU is to directly connect the state’s educational institutions with the CM Yuva Yojana. The final-year students and alumni will especially benefit as they will get the chance to be part of innovative projects,” he said.
He added that the initiative would “not only inspire youth towards entrepreneurship but also play an important role in realizing the state government’s vision of startups and innovation.”
Who’s Coming on Board?
The line-up of institutions signing the MoU reflects some of the state’s most prominent universities and colleges. Names include Galgotia University, GL Bajaj, Chaudhary Charan Singh University (Meerut), Ajay Kumar Garg University, Sharda University, Amity University, and ABES, among others.
Students and faculty from these institutions will be actively engaged in the trade show, giving them direct exposure to industry trends and a rare chance to explore entrepreneurial opportunities firsthand.
Statewide Mobilisation of CM Yuva Fellows
In a bid to take the initiative deeper into the grassroots, the government has instructed CM Yuva fellows from all 75 districts to actively participate in the exhibition. These fellows will collect stall data, interact with participating startups, and promote these brands within their respective districts after the show.
In addition, representatives from colleges across Saharanpur, Meerut, Agra, and Aligarh divisions are also expected to attend, making this not just a metro-focused event but a truly statewide exercise in youth empowerment.
Taking the Digital Route
Recognising that today’s youth are most active online, the government has also rolled out a digital media campaign to build momentum around the initiative. The campaign has already generated strong interest, with thousands of young people registering online to participate in UPITS 2025.
To make the process seamless, a dedicated website — conclave.cmyuva.org.in — has been launched. The portal provides detailed information about the scheme, allows students and youth to register for the trade show, and is also serving as a hub for updates. On social media platforms too, the campaign is quickly gaining traction, with young voices rallying around the opportunity to engage with startups and innovation at such a scale.
UP International Trade Show has, in recent years, positioned itself as a major platform for business networking and showcasing investment potential. By making CM Yuva Yojana a central attraction, the government is sending a clear message — youth-driven entrepreneurship and innovation will be central to Uttar Pradesh’s growth story.
With over 150 stalls, 27 institutions, and the active participation of CM Yuva fellows, the program is poised to create a ripple effect across districts. Students who attend will not just gain exposure but will carry back ideas, contacts, and opportunities that could potentially seed new businesses in their local economies.
For Uttar Pradesh, which is steadily building its reputation as a new hub for startups, the event could serve as an important milestone — amplifying the voices of young entrepreneurs and showcasing how policy-backed initiatives can genuinely empower the next generation.
