Karnataka industrialists keen to invest in Yogi’s changing UP

Karnataka-based Investors expressed strong desire to invest in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanah’s Uttar Pradesh during the B2G (Business to Government) meetings held between them and Team Yogi headed by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya at Hotel Taj West End here on Monday prior to the roadshow to invite them to the Global Investors Summit, which would be held in Lucknow on February 10-12.

The investors said that Uttar Pradesh has transformed under CM Yogi’s leadership and is fast emerging as the growth engine of changing India. It is worth mentioning here that this is the seventh of the nine domestic meetings cum roadshows  being organized under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to invite investors to take part in GIS 2023 and also invest in the state.

Big business houses like Infosys & Ola attend B2G meeting



The B2G meetings started with important sessions with companies like Infosys and Ola. This was followed by Team Yogi’s meetings with Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce President BV Gopal Reddy and Managing Director of Kisan Craft Ravindra Aggarwal B.T. Infosys Corporate Affairs Head Santosh Ananthapura and Ola Electric Managing Director Mohit Sevakramani and Group CFO GR Arun Kumar met Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and proposed investment in UP. Apart from this, Arunakar Mishra, MD & CEO of Zensar Aerospace & Information Technology Pvt Ltd, expressed his desire to invest in the aerospace sector in Uttar Pradesh. Besides veteran companies, young entrepreneurs also attended the meeting and expressed their desire to work in different sectors of Uttar Pradesh.

Ravindra Agarwal, chairman of Kisan Craft Limited, said that his company was interested in investing in the agriculture sector of UP, adding that a research was also being conducted on seeds. “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has changed the thinking of the people about Uttar Pradesh. Our company is very excited to invest in changing UP”, he remarked.

UP can become the hub of semi conductor manufacturing

Arubito's CMD Gururaj R. Itigi said that his company would like to set up a hardware manufacturing plant and a semi-conductor plant in UP. “During the tenure of Yogi Adityanath, a lot of development work has been done in Uttar Pradesh, especially in the field of infrastructure. As for us, we are a trusted brand in semiconductor manufacturing and we believe that UP has full potential to become a hub of semiconductor manufacturing. This journey of development of Uttar Pradesh will not only increase employment in the state but will also bring prosperity to it”, he said

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Trust wants to open university in UP

HG Harsha, Chairman of Shree Shree Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandir Trust, said that his trust has been engaged in the promotion of education across the country for the last 25 years, operating more than 100 schools and expressed willingness to set up a university as well as schools in India. “UP has undoubtedly entered the era of development. This has been possible only because of the efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust wants to open a university and schools in UP under various boards including, the CBSE, ICSE and UP Board. Today, I have met the members of Team Yogi here. The conversation has been very fruitful. We are very optimistic about investing in UP”, Harsha said.



BV Gopal Reddy, President of the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce, the most prestigious organization of industry, trade, service and professionals of Karnataka, said that as many as 3500 business groups of Karnataka are associated with their organization, adding that they would prepare the ground for big investments in UP by talking to groups associated with the chamber of commerce and industry. “Uttar Pradesh government has approached us for investment. The Deputy CM told us that the Yogi government has adopted 25 new policies to promote industries in Uttar Pradesh. I think Uttar Pradesh has full potential to become the growth engine of a changing India”, Reddy pointed out.

There is immense potential for employment generation in UP

Akshata GN of De Pedro Sugar Industries Pvt Ltd said that her company is excited to invest in UP and remarked that it is the most important state of India, where there is immense potential for employment generation. “Our company wants to invest about Rs 850 crore in the field of sugar industry and super computer in UP. I think UP is a state with infinite possibilities from the point of view of investment. I would request everyone to come forward to invest in UP”, GN said.

B2G meetings held in two groups

Team Yogi's delegation for B2G meetings was divided into two groups. The first group led by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya consisted of ministers Surya Pratap Shahi and Dinesh Pratap Singh, besides Chief Secretary Durgashankar Mishra, CEO Invest UP Abhishek Prakash and Chief Minister’s Economic Advisor KV Raju. The second group included IT and Electronics Minister Yogendra Upadhyay, Sports Minister Girish Chandra Yadav, Arvind Kumar (IIDC) and Nodal Officer of UP Defense Corridor Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retired) and other officers were present.

Team Yogi kicked off its domestic roadshows in Mumbai and has so far held seven of them including in Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, attracting investment proposals worth thousands of crores of rupees.
