In a bid to position India as a premier global destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, Piyush Goyal, unveiled a comprehensive strategy aimed at showcasing India's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), traditional handicrafts, artisanal offerings, weavers, and manufacturing prowess.

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian government is gearing up to bolster the nation's economic engagement with the world. Goyal, during a media interaction in New Delhi, emphasized the slew of game-changing initiatives designed to highlight India's global footprint.

Goyal revealed an ambitious line-up of Mega Events slated for the coming months, setting the stage for India's emergence as a global economic powerhouse.

1. Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav: A Showcase of Indian Artistry

Kicking off the series is the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav,' scheduled from 3rd to 10th January 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This event promises a showcase of offerings from artisans, weavers, khadi producers, tribal crafts, MSMEs, and cottage industries. With the goal of fostering a direct interface between producers and consumers, the event aims to exhibit the rich tapestry of India's cultural and economic diversity.

2. Indus Food Exhibition: Catalyzing Agricultural Growth

Following closely is the 'Indus Food' exhibition, set to take place at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida, from 8th to 10th January 2024. With over 1100 exhibitors from nearly 120 countries, this exhibition aims to attract 2500 overseas buyers. The focus is on promoting value-added agricultural products, with the overarching goal of increasing farmers' income and generating employment in the food processing sector.

3. Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024: Driving Innovation in Mobility

From 1st to 3rd February 2024, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, will host the 'Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.' Encompassing a sprawling 10 lakh square feet, this extensive mobility exposition will feature stakeholders from the automobile and mobility sector, showcasing innovations and strengths. The expo will spotlight areas such as next-gen eco-friendly products, construction equipment, and various innovative mobility solutions.

4. Bharat Tex: Unveiling the Textile Value Chain

The grand finale in this series is 'Bharat Tex,' scheduled from 26th to 29th February 2024, spanning nearly 20 lakh square feet across Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. This colossal exhibition, one of the largest textile events globally, will feature the end-to-end textile value chain – from farm to fashion. Boasting 3500+ exhibitors, 3000+ overseas buyers, and participation from over 40 countries, Bharat Tex aims to showcase India's textile prowess and innovation on a global stage.

Goyal underscored the scale, size, and ambition of these exhibitions, marking a monumental revolution in India's global outreach strategy. With an emphasis on fostering greater business and market engagement worldwide, these events represent a significant shift in India's approach to global interactions, solidifying its status as a key player on the international stage.
