How 12 Startups Stole the Show at Games24x7’s TechXpedite!

What happens when ambition meets the right platform? In India’s ever-thriving startup landscape, that spark often leads to innovation with impact. And that’s exactly what unfolded at the much-anticipated TechXpedite Pitch Day hosted by Games24x7—a name synonymous with innovation in the online gaming world.

Held in early April, the event brought together 12 of India’s most promising tech-led startups, handpicked after a rigorous 60-day accelerator journey. These ventures weren't just pitching ideas—they were presenting visions that could redefine how we tackle some of the country’s most pressing problems, from healthcare to accessibility, from gaming to artificial intelligence.

A Startup Showcase Like No Other

At the heart of the event was the TechXpedite Accelerator Program, an initiative by Games24x7 to nurture and catapult early-stage startups with strong technological DNA. This year, the platform received an overwhelming 330+ applications from across 24 Indian states—a true testament to how innovation is now blooming far beyond the metros.

From this rich pool, 12 startups emerged to present at the final Pitch Day in Delhi. Among them were Gabify and LiaPlus AI from Maharashtra, and two promising ventures from Delhi. Also in the spotlight were names like Choira, Mple.ai, Glovatrix, Arficus, Cairovision, Chittoo, Noha.ai, Spoda, Zeuron.ai, and BeAble Health—each with a unique story, each brimming with transformative potential.

These startups had just two months to refine their products and pitches. But with access to cutting-edge tech resources, mentorship from industry stalwarts, and insights from over 30 technology partners, they were well-prepared to face a room full of heavyweight investors and government leaders.

Speaking at the event, Bhavin Pandya, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Games24x7, struck a chord with the audience.

“The sheer depth of talent within India's startup ecosystem is truly inspiring... TechXpedite is our effort to facilitate purpose-driven organizations meaningfully engage with relevant industry experts, mentors and investors,” he said.

And indeed, the energy was palpable. The Pitch Day wasn’t just another demo day—it was a celebration of India’s creative courage. More than 100+ venture capitalists, angel investors, corporate executives, and government stakeholders attended, turning the event into a rare opportunity for meaningful partnerships.

Diversity of Ideas, United by Tech

One of the key highlights of this year’s TechXpedite was the diversity of sectors represented. Interestingly, 58% of the applications came from AI-based startups, followed by gaming (12%) and inclusive tech (15%)—the latter focusing on solutions for healthcare, education, and accessibility. These numbers reflect a growing alignment of tech with purpose.

What’s more telling is the geographical spread. While Tier 1 cities contributed around 60% of the applications, there was a notable rise in entries from emerging hubs like Pune, Indore, and Jaipur—showing how India’s startup dreams are no longer confined to Bengaluru or Mumbai.

Fueling the Startup Engine: Government and Industry Backing

TechXpedite isn’t just a corporate initiative—it’s a collaborative effort backed by some of the country’s top government bodies and tech partners. The event saw support from:

  • Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)

  • Government of Karnataka's Department of IT, BT, and S&T

  • Government of Maharashtra's Directorate of Industries

  • Telangana’s ITE&C and Industries & Commerce Departments

On the industry side, Amazon Web Services (AWS) came in as the cloud partner, while over 30 technology partners contributed tools, services, and credits valued at over $500,000 to help startups scale faster.

From masterclasses to hands-on mentorship, the startups were trained in everything—from refining product-market fit to building sustainable revenue models. It was a crash course in building a tech company the right way.

Games24x7's Vision for The Future

So why is a gaming company investing so heavily in tech startups? The answer lies in Games24x7’s own journey. Founded in 2006 by NYU-trained economists Bhavin Pandya and Trivikraman Thampy, the company has grown into one of India’s largest online gaming players, running platforms like My11Circle, RummyCircle, and the newly launched Wowzy.

But beyond the numbers, Games24x7 is playing a deeper game. Through its venture arm and the Games24x7 Foundation, the company is actively contributing to the larger tech ecosystem. It’s not just about business—it’s about building India’s digital future.

What’s Next for These Startups?

With the Pitch Day wrapped up, the journey has just begun for the 12 featured startups. For some, it could mean a funding round. For others, a strategic collaboration. But for all of them, it was a milestone moment—a validation of their vision and a boost of confidence to take the next leap.

Events like TechXpedite are no longer just a footnote in India’s startup story. They are launchpads for the future, and the fact that they’re now backed by industry giants like Games24x7 signals a shift in how we grow innovation in this country.

As India continues its rise as a global startup powerhouse, programs like TechXpedite remind us that the next big idea may be just one pitch away.
