The Startup Mahakumbh 2025 concluded with high energy and optimism in the national capital, spotlighting India’s unstoppable entrepreneurial momentum. Taking the innovation spotlight was the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), which emerged as a driving force behind the startup ecosystem’s access to government procurement, unlocking powerful growth opportunities for young ventures across sectors.

As a strategic presenting partner, GeM played a central role throughout the three-day event, engaging directly with thousands of startups, investors, and industry leaders. The platform underscored its mission to empower startups by providing streamlined access to public sector markets—fueling innovation, enabling scale, and aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

GeM’s dynamic participation included an interactive pavilion, dedicated startup pods, live mentoring, and a powerful panel discussion featuring top government and industry voices. More than 70 high-potential startups were showcased, with 30 selected startups receiving free pods under the GeM Start-o-nauts Challenge, amplifying visibility and reach among policymakers and buyers.

GeM CEO Ajay Bhadoo, addressing the packed auditorium, stressed the platform’s evolving role in India’s innovation economy.

So far, GeM has facilitated transactions worth over ₹38,500 crore for more than 30,000 registered startups—solidifying its position as a cornerstone of the Digital India and Make in India movements.
