DPIIT Partners with ITC to Strengthen India’s Startup Ecosystem and Foster Innovation
In a strategic move to propel India’s startup ecosystem, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has partnered with ITC Limited, a prominent Indian conglomerate, to drive innovation and sustainable growth. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to integrate ITC’s industry expertise and market reach with DPIIT’s initiatives like Startup India, Make in India, and Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

The collaboration is designed to create growth opportunities for startups across key sectors, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), renewable energy integration, wind power, and energy storage systems. DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv shared, “This partnership highlights our dedication to empowering startups and fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship. By leveraging ITC’s vast resources, we aim to create impactful solutions and cultivate an environment where startups can scale rapidly, supporting India’s Vision 2047.”

Anil Rajput, ITC’s President of Corporate Affairs, highlighted the collaboration’s dual focus on operational excellence and sustainability. “The MoU will enable startups and ITC to drive mutual value, particularly in areas like digital platforms and renewable energy, aligning with our sustainability goals and fostering innovation,” Rajput said.
