How To Chat In Your Native Language? Bobble AI Can Make It Possible!

For a Bengali, an 'I Love You' can never communicate love as deep as 'Ami tomake bhalobashi' does. It's because it's not just the words that communicate; it's the language and the emotions behind them that truly convey your feelings.

Kem Cho...? Maja ma!, Kasa kay, sagla theek? or Ami tomake bhalobashi...! These are some everyday phrases from different Indian languages that translate to simple expressions like "How are you, everything fine?" or "I love you." All these phrases in English sound mundane, isn't it?

Well! We're not saying that "I love you" in English doesn't communicate the message—it does. But if you're from West Bengal, you know that "Ami tomake bhalobashi" carries a unique emotional weight that "I love you" in English can never fully capture.

It's because it's not just the words that communicate; it's the language and the emotions behind them that truly convey your feelings.

However, with the advent of the internet and new technologies, English has become the go-to language for chatting on our phones. After all, English bridges cultural gaps and allows people from all over the world to communicate. But deep inside, many of us prefer to chat in our native language, especially with friends and family. I'm sure you can relate to what I'm saying...

Ankit Prasad, a young entrepreneur, recognized this fact a few years ago and founded a company to address it. Today, Ankit is the founder and CEO of Bobble AI, a startup that enriches everyday conversations. Because, after all, there's nothing more authentic and persuasive than the words shared between friends.

So, who is Ankit Prasad? How did he start this revolution? What is his startup all about? Where did he get his inspiration? How did his startup journey begin? Let's find out everything in this exclusive interview with TICE.

Well! While communicating in native languages is one aspect, Bobble AI is revolutionizing the chatting experience in more ways than one. It's a platform that allows you to turn your selfies into stickers, create your own GIFs, draft emails and messages, and, of course, communicate in your native language. All this sounds interesting! But did you know that all of this came from Ankit's mind, who once struggled so much with English that he didn't know the difference between a playground and a ground floor? But as they say, if you are passionate, you overcome all shortcomings, and that's exactly what Ankit did... he didn't let his weaknesses stop you, rather he built a solution to this, not just for himself but for the whole world.

Who is Ankit Prasad? The Founder of Bobble AI

Ankit Prasad is an entrepreneur who comes from Chaibasa, a city in Jharkhand. He did his schooling from a Hindi-medium school but was transferred to an English medium school during his high school. At that time, he faced a lot of challenges in terms of langiage.

While recalling an incident, he told, when I was tranferred to English Medium from Hindi Medium school, I didn't even know the difference between ground floor and playgorund. Ankit Prasad's passion for technology started in childhood, inspired by his father, Ranjit Prasad, who bought the first computer in Chaibasa. This set the stage for Ankit's journey.

After moving to Jamshedpur, Ankit and his brother struggled with English but excelled in mathematics. In 2005, they began designing websites for local businesses, which soon became profitable. That same year, Ankit was among his school's top 10th board exam achievers.

Determined to join an IIT, Ankit faced challenges, including vision problems and inadequate coaching facilities. Despite initial setbacks, he secured a rank of 400 and gained admission to IIT Delhi. However, he found the theory-heavy curriculum unfulfilling and focused on business ventures.

In 2012, Ankit created Touchtalent, a global community for artists to share and monetize their work. Despite the success, he eventually dropped out of IIT to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams full-time.

The Launch of Bobble AI

Ankit then launched Bobble AI and the Bobble Indic Keyboard, revolutionizing smartphone texting with AI-driven stickers, memes, and GIFs. Initially dismissed as a dreamer, Ankit proved his critics wrong.

In 2023, Bobble AI registered a valuation of more than INR 1200 crores, with a 4.5 rating on Google Play Store and over 10 million downloads.

Ankit's breakthrough came in 2018 when he made it to Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30. Following that, he achieved Fortune's 40 Under 40 in 2020, solidifying his reputation as a tech visionary.

Bobble is transforming communication for the Next Billion with its AI-powered, personalized, and expressive input methods. It's India's top-rated and most engaging Android keyboard, supporting 30 languages, including 22 official Indian languages. Users can convert text into stickers, GIFs, emojis, and custom fonts, even personalizing stickers and GIFs with their own faces and expressions.

Backed by SAIF Partners and angel investors like Flipkart co-founders Sachin and Binny Bansal, MakeMyTrip founder Deep Kalra, SlideShare co-founder Amit Ranjan, 1mg's Prashant Tandon and Gaurav Agarwal, and Prashant Malik of Facebook and Apache Cassandra fame, Bobble Keyboard is revolutionizing how people communicate.
