Omspace Rocket Raises ₹25 Cr to Build Reusable Launch Vehicle

Omspace Rocket and Exploration, an Indian space-tech startup, has secured ₹25 crore in pre-seed funding from Bestvantage Investments to develop India’s first Reusable Small Launch Vehicle (RSLV)

The funding round, led by Dubai-based investor Surya's family office, aims to accelerate the development of reusable launch technology in India's expanding small satellite market

Omspace, established in 2020 and recognized as a startup in the Aerospace & Defense sector, is working on Infinity-I, a vehicle designed for rapid re-launch within 24–48 hours

With projected rocket costs of $3–4 million and per-launch revenues expected to reach $2 million annually by the fourth year, Omspace aims to increase India's current 2% share in the $55 billion global market to 15% by 2035

Bestvantage Investments, led by Raman Sharma, offers more than capital, providing access to strategy, networks, and growth opportunities for startups like Omspace

Key achievements of Omspace include completing two solid fuel rocket engine tests, establishing operations in Ahmedabad and Sharjah, and signing 44 MoUs worth $205 million.

The startup has also trained over 55,000 students globally through its space-tech programs, with 25% securing industry jobs

The new funding will support further engine tests, a sub-orbital rocket launch, and the development of a liquid cryogenic engine, as well as bolster infrastructure and talent acquisition

Omspace benefits from institutional support, including grants and participation in accelerator programs, enhancing its position in the space-tech ecosystem

The investment highlights growing confidence in India's new-space economy, presenting opportunities in aerospace innovation and cross-border investment between India and the Middle East
